I discovered specialty coffee in 2014 during a long-stay visit to Canada, having secured a job with a local Vancouver Coffee House and Roastery.

It was here that I fell in love with hospitality and the importance of great customer service and how to make espresso and pour latte art. It was also here that I first drank a coffee that tasted of strawberries and blueberries and learnt how to cup coffees.

Upon returning to the UK, I threw myself into the specialty coffee scene. I trained with Origin Coffee Roasters and gained SCA Intermediate and Professional Certifications in Barista, Brewing and Sensory skills.

In 2016, I joined Soho Farmhouse as their Head Barista and was responsible for coffee service and standards across all 11 bars. During my time here, we increased hot beverage revenue by £130k during 2016-2017.

In July 2018, I was seconded to Amsterdam for six months to help open Soho Amsterdam as well as write and develop their coffee programme.

In 2019 I founded The Coffee Consultancy.
